Glenullin & Agivey Conservation and Development Group |
Our Group has a strong environmental remit. Having saved the Glenullin Bog from development in 1993 and assisted by two local Councils we made two Way Marked Trails, the Errigal and Drumbane Trails, offering access to open hillside, river banks and many historical sites.
We also run a Hillwalking Festival every summer and have occasional publications and news sheets all of which you can request more details on by using our Contact Us page or by emailing info@glenullinservices.com
We operate out of Glenullin Resource Centre opened in 2001 as a focus for economic and social development in the area. The Centre is on the Eagles Glen cycle route and North Sperrins Scenic Route for cars (www.sperrinstourism.com)
A general flavour of the history and images of the Garvagh and Glenullin area can be gleaned from local historical videos available from www.thompsontrading.com
The local Gaelic Athletic Association provide social events and the traditional sports of Hurling, Camogie and Gaelic Football www.glenullin.com
Our Group continues to work for the well being of the whole community, building working relationships with local statutory and voluntary providers to bring resource to this rural community.
